    If you’re looking to develop or further your career in Kenya, These are the courses you need to pay attention to. Here is a list of the 10 most marketable courses in Kenya.

    10. Tourism

    Of all of Kenya’s industries, tourism is clearly one of the Most Marketable Courses in Kenya.

    In 2012, international visitors to East Africa spent $8 billion—the fourth-highest total on record. According to a report released by European Travel Commission, tourism has remained one of Kenya’s top revenue generators. It’s on track to generate 2.5% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually through direct and indirect employment opportunities.

    Kenyan tourism ranks 5th largest in Africa and 20th largest globally. Most tourists come from other African countries followed by Asia.

    9. Banking and Finance

    The banking and finance sector is one of Kenya’s largest industries.

    It is most sophisticated, with major local banks offering full-service commercial and retail banking.

    This sector, coupled with real estate, contributes immensely to Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This makes it one of the 10 Most Marketable Courses in Kenya. Therefore, if you have a background in either of these sectors or other business ventures such as entrepreneurship, you are likely to stand out among other job applicants

    8. Information Technology

    This course teaches students how to design interiors for residential and commercial properties. The Kenyan IT sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in Kenya. The industry offers a wide range of career opportunities for skilled professionals and those seeking employment. You can earn up to Sh. 1, 500, 000 a month on average. This is if you secure a job as an IT professional or information technology specialist in a big corporate firm like IBM or Dell Inc. In Nairobi alone, there are over 20 IT training institutions that offer short-term and long-term programs to train candidates on new computer technologies.

    This growth, combined with increased access to technology, is spurring demand for Information Technology workers at all levels of experience. Although English is Kenya’s official language, Computer Science professionals who can communicate effectively with non-English speakers will find ample opportunities to work and live there.

    Kenya has a rich history of architecture, dating back thousands of years.

    Because it has such a wide reach, digital marketing is a top marketable course in Kenya. From email campaigns to SEO and PPC, digital marketing allows you to create highly targeted campaigns that result in higher conversion rates and increased sales.
